I appreciate your thoughts. The reality is this is now a states' rights issue. There is no federal solution or radical change coming. Short of Democrats winning a bunch of presidential elections and replacing dying/retiring Supreme Court justices, absolutely nothing will change. National Republicans, led by Trump, aren't going to touch this issue on a federal level. They have no reason to. Democrats know this. But it's a hot-button issue they can fundraise on (something the GOP does as well).

My point is that there was a federal solution in play and Obama chose not to implement it. History does matter as it proves how Democrats fail with intent to protect us from what they claim to want to protect us from. But yes I do agree that for now it is a state's rights issue so women better hope they live in what's left of the "blue" states.

Important point on Obama's lack of attention towards the issue. I believe he said something along the lines of "it's not a priority at this time." It's fascinating to me to read the election autopsies coming out of both corporate and progressive Democrat sources. A prominent idea now is that the Dems need to return to the progressive promises Obama made in 2007-2008, rather than courting corporate money and GOP voters. Sounds great in theory, but I'm not holding out much hope. Appreciate your voice. Keep up the great work.
